FastLite

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 1, 2026
Last Updated: September 1, 2026
Developer: xuyongfang

The short version: this app has no servers and no accounts. Every fast, weight entry, and water intake you log is stored only on your own device. We are technically incapable of reading any of your data. This is not a matter of "we promise not to look"; there is simply no way for us to look.

1. General Provisions and Scope

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how the FastLite iOS application (including its home screen widgets and Apple Watch app, collectively the "App") handles information relating to you. The App is developed and published by xuyongfang ("we," "us," or "our").

This Policy applies only to the App itself. It does not apply to any service provided by Apple (including the App Store, iCloud, the Health app, and notification scheduling), nor to any other app installed on your device. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Please read this Policy in full before using the App. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using the App and delete it.

2. Definitions

3. We Do Not Collect Any Personal Information

The App has no servers, no account system, no sign-up or login, and no cloud sync. We do not operate any backend service and are therefore technically incapable of receiving, storing, or reading your data. Everything you create in the App is written only to your own device.

Specifically, we do not collect any of the following:

Note: If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" under iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may provide us with aggregated and anonymized crash statistics and download figures. This data is gathered and anonymized by Apple, contains no personally identifiable information, and cannot be used by us to identify any individual user. You can turn this off at any time in that system setting.

4. Details of Data Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide its timer, statistics, and reminder features, the App stores the following content locally on your device. This data is never uploaded, and we have no means of accessing it.

CategoryContentsPurpose
Fasting recordsStart time, end time, target duration, and plan identifier for each fastLive timer, calendar check-ins, streak and duration statistics
Weight recordsWeight value (kilograms) and time of entryWeight trend chart, difference from target weight
Water intake recordsAmount per drink (milliliters) and time of entryDaily water intake total, goal completion statistics
Plans and goalsCurrent fasting plan, custom fasting duration, daily first-meal time, weekly fasting target count, starting weight, target weight, daily water intake goal, frequently used cup sizesGenerating personalized timers and progress
Onboarding choicesYour selected fasting experience level and fasting goals (such as losing weight or improving digestion)Recommending an initial plan and adjusting the tone of in-app copy
Reminder settingsOn/off state of each reminder type, water reminder frequencyScheduling local notifications
Feature stateWhether onboarding has been completed, whether instructions have been viewed, Health sync toggle, Membership unlock statusMaintaining app state

5. Data Sharing Between App Components (App Group)

The App's main program, home screen widgets, and Apple Watch app need to display the same state (for example, how much time remains in the current fast). To make this possible, the data described above is stored in a local container shared among these components (which Apple calls an App Group).

This container remains entirely on your device and is protected by the iOS sandbox. Only the App's own components can access it; no other app, and not we ourselves, can read it. State synchronization between your Apple Watch and iPhone takes place directly over Apple's device-to-device channel (WatchConnectivity) and does not pass through any server.

6. Health Data (HealthKit)

The App can exchange data with the built-in iOS Health app. This feature depends entirely on your explicit authorization, and reading and writing are not enabled automatically by default. On the system authorization sheet, you can allow or deny each data type individually.

6.1 Data We Read

6.2 Data We Write

6.3 Commitment to Limited Use

In accordance with Apple's applicable requirements and as our commitment to you, data read from the Health app:

6.4 Revoking Authorization

You can turn off any read or write permission at any time under iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › FastLite, or turn off the master switch on the App's "Sync to Health" screen. Once revoked, the App will immediately stop the corresponding reading and writing.

Please note: revoking authorization does not delete historical data that has already been written to the Health app. If you wish to delete it, please do so yourself in the Health app. We have neither the right nor the ability to delete it on your behalf.

7. Notifications

All reminders in the App are iOS local notifications, scheduled and triggered locally by your device at the times you set.

You can turn off reminders individually on the App's "Reminders" screen, or revoke all notification permissions for the App in iOS Settings.

8. Purchases and Subscriptions

The App's Membership features are provided through in-app purchases on the Apple App Store, and every transaction is processed entirely by Apple.

The processing of purchase-related information is governed by Apple's privacy policy and terms.

9. No Third-Party SDKs or Tracking Technologies

The App does not integrate any third-party software development kit (SDK), including but not limited to: analytics (such as Firebase, Umeng, or Amplitude), advertising and attribution (such as AppsFlyer or Adjust), crash monitoring (such as Sentry or Bugly), social login, customer support systems, or content push services.

The App does not track your activity across other apps or websites and does not read the advertising identifier (IDFA), and therefore will not present you with an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization request.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App is a native iOS application. It contains no content pages presented in web views and does not use cookies, web beacons, local storage tracking, or any other web tracking technology.

11. iCloud and System Backups

If you have enabled iCloud Backup for your iPhone in system settings, or you back up locally to a computer, that backup may include the data the App stores on your device.

This backup process is controlled by iOS and by you, and the data is encrypted and held by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We take no part in this process and cannot access any of your backups. You can manage what is backed up under iOS Settings › Apple Account › iCloud.

12. Data Security

The App relies on the security mechanisms provided by iOS to protect your data: app sandbox isolation, system-level file protection, and your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

A risk you should be aware of: because the data is stored locally and the App does not have its own separate passcode, anyone who can unlock your device can view all of the records in the App. Please safeguard your device and your unlock credentials. In addition, jailbreaking a device compromises the iOS sandbox protections, and we cannot guarantee data security on such devices.

13. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not hold any of your data, there is no server-side retention period to speak of. Retaining and erasing your data is entirely in your hands:

Deletion cannot be undone. The App keeps no copy in the cloud; once data is deleted, it is permanently lost, and we cannot recover it for you.

14. Children's Privacy

The App is not designed for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

We wish to emphasize that intermittent fasting is generally not appropriate for minors who are still growing and developing. We do not recommend that minors use the App to fast. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor and discover that they are using the App, please help them stop using it and delete the App.

15. Your Data Rights

In most jurisdictions (including under China's Personal Information Protection Law, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), among others), you have rights over your personal information, including the rights to be informed, to access, to rectify, to erase, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.

With respect to the App, because we do not collect, receive, or store any of your personal information, there is nothing held by us against which these rights could be exercised. You have direct and complete control over your data: it lives on your device, and you can view, modify, export (via system backup), or permanently delete it at any time.

We do not engage in any form of automated decision-making or user profiling.

16. Cross-Border Data Transfers

The App does not transmit any data, so no data export or cross-border transfer takes place.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to third-party pages (for example, Apple's standard terms of use). When you tap such a link, you leave the App, and the handling of information on that page is governed by the third party's policies. We accept no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or data processing of any third party. We recommend that you read their policies before use.

18. Data Breaches

Because the App neither holds nor transmits any user data, a data breach on our side is not possible. If your device is lost, stolen, or unlocked by someone else and the records in the App are viewed as a result, that situation is beyond our control and we cannot accept responsibility for it.

19. Changes to This Policy

When the App's features change in a way that affects how data is handled, we will update this Policy accordingly and revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide a prominent notice within the App.

We recommend that you review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.

20. Your Consent

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the entirety of this Policy, and you consent to the App handling the relevant data locally on your device in the manner described herein.
